There are no accounts and no passwords in Sedir. Access is attached to the email address you gave me: the first time you open the app a short code arrives at that address, you type it in, and that is the whole of it. You will not be asked again for a long while.
Your records stay inside your phone. They never reach a server, and nobody can read them, me included. There is another side to that: keeping them safe is yours to do. The last step is for that.
Do all of this in your phone's own browser: Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. It works on a computer too, but anything you enter there will not come across to your phone.
Type sedir.app/app into the address bar. What comes up first is Cloudflare's sign-in page, not Sedir itself. It is only the door.
Enter your address and press Send me a code. A six-character code arrives within a few minutes, sent by Cloudflare (notify.cloudflare.com). Type it into the field on the page and press Sign in.
The code is short-lived and works once. If it has run out, ask for a new one on the same screen.
The app is open now, but it is still sitting in a browser tab. Put it on your phone first; start adding your clients only after that.
Tap the Share icon at the bottom (the square with an arrow), scroll down to Add to Home Screen, then Add at the top right.
Open the ⋮ menu at the top right, choose Install app or Add to Home screen, and confirm.
On an iPhone, the app on your home screen and the Safari tab are two separate places. Clients, sessions and payments entered in the tab do not appear in the installed app. That is why you install first and type afterwards.
If you have already put things into the tab, nothing has to be lost: in the tab, take the file with ⚙ → Backup → Save backup, then open the installed app and read it back in with ⚙ → Backup → Load backup.
This is how you will open Sedir from now on. The first time, it may ask for a code once more. The reason is the one above: this is a separate place. Repeat the same steps, and that will be the last of it.
Once installed, the app opens and works with no connection.
The order matters, because each step feeds the next. Add your clients first: initials, fee, day, time and how often. Then your expenses; monthly ones like rent, supervision and the accountant repeat on their own. Last, in Calendar, press Build month.
The calendar fills itself in from everyone's usual slot. From then on the daily work is a few taps: open it after a session and mark what happened.
⚙ → Backup → Save backup hands you a file. The only copy of your records is the one on your phone: there is no server, so if the phone is lost or the browser clears its storage, the records go with it. Emailing the file to yourself or dropping it in cloud storage is enough.
The app mentions it quietly every couple of weeks. It is also how you move to a new phone: install Sedir there and load the file.
